Corporate newspaper

The Podbrezovan newspaper began publication in June 1930. This was the first workers' newspaper in Slovakia. The Publisher managed to issue seven copies despite severe persecution and administrative difficulties. However, he was forced to stop publishing the newspapers and its history continued after several years.

In the period of 1942 - 43, a bilingual newspaper - German and Slovak - were published. Since 1945 it continue to be issued. First, in a monthly form, then biweekly. The newspaper had always been current at the given time. It followed current events, especially the life within the company. Its focus varied with the time period development.

Currently, the Podbrezovan plays an indespensible role in the mission of communication with the public. It has not been just dialogue between an employer and employee—the status of Železiarne Podbrezová a.s. also makes it suitable for a wider audience.
