Ceremonial graduation of alumni from the Private High School of ZP and from the Private Secondary Vocational School of Metallurgy
On Friday, May 30, 2014 more than 80 graduates received the School Leaving Certificates in the House of Culture in Podbrezová from the private schools of Železiarne Podbrezová from the hands of school leadership and management of Železiarne Podbrezová.
Festive line up of graduates has taken place in presence of the Minister of Education Mr. Dušan Čaplovič, who highlighted the approach of Železiarne Podbrezová. According to his words, the factory is capable, despite the difficult times, to maintain employment in metallurgical production and at the same time educate young people, for which they guarantee a job after graduation.
"For me they are shining example. It is a company owned school, built on the principle of Bata and in Slovakia they are the pioneers in this field. After 10 years, you can see the results. Based on this example other schools began to form similar way. In the sector we are frequently inspired by concrete things that are implemented here. During their studies the experts in the factory brake the students in, so when they graduate and start working, they have the experience and a job", said the Minister of Education.
Most high school graduates continue on to college, a smaller part of the high school students are planning to devote their time to professional sports, some will find a direct application in ŽP. Graduates of vocational metallurgical school in the field of metallurgist-operator, machinery and equipment mechanic, mechanic-electronics and mechanic-mechatronics find employment in the factory, but some are planning to continue their studies at university.
Ms. Maria Niklova, HR Director of ŽP, at the ceremonial graduations stressed the point that every year about 50 graduates become employees of ŽP, but their number varies during the year due to natural fluctuations. She said that the integration of graduates into the working team is more or less smooth and at the workplace people are satisfied with the graduates, particularly thanks to working experience gained during school practice.
